Homeless people in NYC.

79th St & Broadway

It's not surprising to find homeless people everywhere in NYC. I particularly feel sorry for this man (picture above) every time I see him on my way to work. I can't believe it! For almost three years I've seen him in the same place. At first I thought nobody cared about his situation, but then I realized about the number of institutions and coalitions dedicated to help people like him. To me it seems like he really wants to live like that, otherwise he could accept pleople's help to have a better life.

That is sad about the homeless situation. I wouldn't want that to happen to my worst enemy. One thing I don't understand is which you pointed out in your blog is that, with all these institutions and coalitions why don't they seek help. It's like do they want to remain in that sad state. Anyway, anyone that would take advantage of them are the lowest forms of life.

Even though this is a bad situation and there is help some people choose to live that way. I met a homelss man before who mentioned that it's better for him to live that way because he doesn't have to worry about the cares of life like other people. "He has no bills, no rent to pay, don't have to worry about buying clothes, all he need is food to survive".

I really do feel sorry for some of the homeless people. But those who just don't want to try to change their lives and rather just stay that way so that they don't have to worry about paying bills and buying clothes, etc., I don't feel sorry fro them at all. A lot of people do hard work and make very little money and they're just gonna rely on others for money? That's wrong.

I see homeless people often and sometimes feel sorry for them, but not all. A few don't seem to mind their situation but others do. I feel sometimes that homeless people want other people to hand them things instead of trying to work for it, especially if they're able to.

I can't believe you actually took a picture of him did he mind or did you have to sneak to do it.

We are living in the richest country in the world and its a shame that thousands of people are homeless if its by choice its find with me but if its by financial instability then we have to do something to change this.
